Shepherd's Center of the Northland has identified two
distinct needs in our community. The first is for programming
that meets the needs of fragile older adults and the caregivers
who attend them. To answer that need we developed BreakTime Club.
This program meets weekly under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
and is a great day out for people with beginning Alzheimers, Parkinsons,
and other ailments. The day is filled with smiles, things to do, and people
who care! In July SCN added a second opportunity for BreakTime in
Liberty! Make sure you check out the details!
The second is a program for those able bodied older adults who need a
fun day out with transportation provided.
Area congregations graciously provide a van to pick up and take
home those who yearn for a day of fellowship with peers.
They get just that and more--much more!
This program meets twice a month and is aptly named
Learning & Laughter. To find out more about this
